Natural gas as a car fuel
Natural gas as a car fuel has started to be practiced on a large scale in whole world because of its cheapness and eco-cleanness. Compressed natural gas is methane compressed till 200 atm. The irreplaceable properties of natural gas are a high octane level 105-110 (the octane level of the high quality petrol is 98), the maximum combustion level and cheapness (if the price of liquid depends on petroleum cost, than the price of natural gas depends on the government only). Many specialists call it the 21-st century’s car fuel.
The longevity of the car engine increases about twice by using natural gas, due to its several properties:
    1. Uniform combustion
    2. The high octane level
    3. Less toxic gases
    4. The amortization of the engine decreases by 35-45%
    5. The longevity of the motor oil increases by 30-40%
    6. The work of the engine becomes more soft and uniform, than by using petrol, and the noise decreases about 2dB.
    7. On the whole, the longevity of the engine increases 1.5-2 times.
Some specialists appreciate the safety of the car on natural gas 2.5 times higher, than safety of the car on petrol (the internal combustion level of compressed natural gas is 5% and, in case of accident, natural gas rises up immediately, because of it is lighter 1.6 times than air. Because of the hardness of cylinders practically excludes its decomposition, but in case of decomposition, for example, cylinders just crack, not turning into pieces, and gas immediately goes out).

In highly developed industrial countries car exhaust gases emissions make up about 40-50% of all atmospheric emissions, and in megalopolises it can reach till 80-90% (for example, it reach 87% in Moscow).

In the USA the average yearly damage of toxic emissions of one car on petrol or diesel come to 120$. Working on natural gas that damage is reduced by about 25%. If catalyst converter is also installed on car, than eco-damage decreases approximately twice.

During natural gas combustion, arise carbon dioxide and steam generally, at the same time 1.22 times less carbon dioxide than in the case of petrol, and 1.34 times less than in the case of diesel. On the whole, the emissions of toxic gases are 1.5 times less than in the case of petrol, and are absent such toxic substances such as lid, sulfur and etc.

In case of extensive using natural gas on cars, the greenhouse effects will essentially decrease up to 20%.
